Three player game: The Chimera Challenge (Ver. 3)
Lion
Snake
Goat
Lion defeats goat, goat defeats snake, snake defeats lion
At beginning of game players roll D12 to determine move order
1 Lion moves three spaces in any single straight direction (if hindered by a wall then the lion moves to the boundary.
2 Goat moves three spaces, 2 spaces in any direction, then the third either diagonally to the right or left (similar to the knight piece in chess)
3 Snake moves three spaces, all spaces must be touching. The snake may mimic the goat’s moves (except jumping) but not the Lion’s
Goal of the game is to collect power-up tokens along the map (9 tokens) while at the same time moving to defend from another player or attacking a player.
Tokens are placed on the 9 numbered spaces throughout the board.
When a player has attacked a player they take one of their tokens, if the defending player has no tokens they move back to the start spot. An attacking player must use all of its moves with its final move doing the attacking. At the end of 10 or 15 minutes of gameplay the game is over and a winner must be determined.
Chance spots (?): Located at various spots around the game map, these result in a drawing of a chance card and either may aid or restrict the player’s movement or attack power. When these spots require players to lose tokens they go back to original start spots if they have no tokens. If the Bellerophon chance card is played than a new game token is placed on the center board square and moves clockwise in a spiral pattern outwards. If Bellerophon lands on the same space as a player or the player is within his path or vise versa then that player loses all their tokens and returns to their start space. If bellerophon reaches the last square of its spiral pattern it turns around and moves inward counterclockwise.
//New Additions for Version 3
There are now Gods (Zeus, Hades, Poseidon, Aries) that start out on the four corners of the map. When a God chance card is played that god moves in a straight direction diagonally and instantly kills any player that is in their path. If a player is killed by a god, then they may assume the role of one of the gods and then choose any direction to move in a straight path. The god chance card must be played to do so.
Winning conditions:
1 player wins( 1 player has collected 8 tokens)
2 players wins: 2 players have each collected at least 4 tokens each
3-player draw: No player has accumulated enough tokens to satisfy either 1 or 2.
