Project 3: Do You Know Your Food Groups?

 

Goal: "Collect" all the different foods that are needed daily for a healthy diet.

 

Rules:

  1. In order to collect a food group, one must answer a question correctly related to that food group.
  2. You can only answer (or be asked) a question from the food group that you are currently on on the board.
  3. To finish the game, land on the top triangle (only once you have finished answering all the questions)
  4. The different triangles represent the food groups: grains, fruit, vegetables, protein, and dairy. Additionally there are a few "random" triangles which will give you a fact instead of a question. It could give you a free food group card without having to answer any questions, but you could also get a negative card related to fats or sweets.
  5. For every negative card, you must compensate with another card for the regular food groups before you can finish.

 

 

Food groups to collect (based on nutritional estimates combined with practical expectations for the game)

  • Grains: 6 servings (answer 6 grain questions correctly)
  • Fruit: 4 servings
  • Veggies: 3 servings
  • Dairy: 2 servings
  • Protein: 3 servings
  • 1 serving of fats/sweets is okay before you need to compensate with other parts of your diet.
