The Crisis of Food Deserts

According to Wikipedia: "A food desert is a district with little or no access to large grocery stores that offer fresh and affordable foods needed to maintain a healthy diet. Instead of such stores, these districts often contain many fast food restaurants and convenience stores."

  1. Both players start in the designated start area at the base of the board.
  2. Goal: get across the board with as many points as possible.
  3. Point system:
    1. Plus 5 points for whoever finishes first.
    2. -1 point for every red square landed on (represents fast food restaurants that make you (player) unhealthy)
    3. +2 points for every green square landed on (represents real grocery stores, farmer's markets and some other type of fresh food/fruit/vegetables)
  4. After the first player reaches the finish line, the second (or rest) of players have 2 turns to reach the finish line or else they automatically lose.
  5. Players must go around barriers, they cannot go through them.
  6. Take turns rolling six sided die to determine how far you can move. No diagonal movement.
