According to Wikipedia: "A food desert is a district with little or no access to large grocery stores that offer fresh and affordable foods needed to maintain a healthy diet. Instead of such stores, these districts often contain many fast food restaurants and convenience stores."
- Both players start in the designated start area at the base of the board.
- Goal: get across the board with as many points as possible.
- Point system:
- Plus 5 points for whoever finishes first.
- -1 point for every red square landed on (represents fast food restaurants that make you (player) unhealthy)
- +2 points for every green square landed on (represents real grocery stores, farmer's markets and some other type of fresh food/fruit/vegetables)
- After the first player reaches the finish line, the second (or rest) of players have 2 turns to reach the finish line or else they automatically lose.
- Players must go around barriers, they cannot go through them.
- Take turns rolling six sided die to determine how far you can move. No diagonal movement.
