Auditing Charades
Based on the ideology of Scientology
Players: 2 teams, 2-5 players per team; A team consists of 1-3 Auditors and 1-2 Preclears
Scientology is based on the practice of Dianetics. The special insight gleaned from dianetics can only be found through the process of Auditing.
In an auditing session, a 'trained' auditor sits with a device called an E-Meter, which is also held by the patient being audited, the Preclear.
Scientology preaches that individual neuroses and emotional turmoil is largely caused by the presence of Thetans in one's body. A thetan is
the fragmented memory of a traumatic event experienced in a past life. By guiding a preclear through the auditing process, an auditor helps
them 'remember' these past life events, and work work through them. When a thetan is no longer bothersome to the preclear, they graduate
to the next level of 'clarity', of which there are many. Each new level one attains requires a more intense and involved auditing process, as well
as a generous donation to the Church.
Goal: To reach 'Clear' before the other team/s (first to win 5 rounds)
Rules:
- Each team must have at least 1 auditor and 1 preclear member.
- Before a round, the preclear must draw a Past Life card. This card will give the preclear a brief explanation of the traumatic 'memory' they must act
out. For example, "Mauled by chihuahuas." "Wet pants at an amusement park." "Laughed and squirted yogurt out nose."
- The preclears have 20 seconds to discuss the prompt with each other before beginning the round.
- From the start of the round, the preclear(s) have 60 seconds to silently act out their traumatic memory. 'Sounds Like' motions are allowed.
- The auditor(s) must guess the memory correctly in order to gain a point, or reach the next 'Thetan Level'.
- First team to 5 wins!
