Treasure Slider

Objective:

The player or players must navigate through the board in order to capture the items strewn about the map. Victory cannot be declared until all items have been placed in their respective collection points.

Materials:

Grid paper

2 small player tokens

6 colored tokens (2 colors required)

2 markers (same colors as the tokens)

Rules:

     1.       Both tokens are placed in their colored starting areas on either side of the board. Red may only move vertically with a single horizontal shift and blue may only move horizontally with a single vertical shift. If 1 person is playing, they alternate moves between the 2 tokens and if 2 people are playing, they alternate turns.

       2.       Player(s) must retrieve all of their items from across the board. Cooperation/using the 2 player tokens in tandem with one another will be crucial to achieving this.

     3.      Player(s) may move the tokens to meet eachother and can temporarily “tether” to eachother to take advantage of the others primary movement. These movements must be alternated between turns as they normally would be.

     4.       Player(s) can move as many spaces as they like in their dominant direction per turn, but they cannot move less than 3 spaces and cannot move through safe zones in a single turn. Additionally, they may not “pace” back and forth between 2 points over multiple turns.

       5.      Every 5 turns, a wave of “death” sweeps over the board. If either player token is caught outside of a safe zone during this turn, they die and both players lose.

     6.    As suggested previously, safe zones  as well as start zones are the only areas on the map safe from the periodical death waves. Ensure that both player tokens reside in a safe zone in order to not lose.

     7.      Player items are indicated by the colored tokens resting on certain spaces. The player with the respective color of the token must be in contact with the token to pick it up, then they must return it to their start positions and drop it there before going to claim another one. Note that when players are tethered, their inventories do not stack and only 1 token may be carried between the 2 of them.

       8.    Within starting zones and safe zones, horizontal and vertical limits do not apply.
