Dice Rush”

Game Board

Goal: Through dice rolls, each character will try to land on their respective finishing places to win the game. Players have to roll numbers on the dice that will land them exactly on their finishing spaces, moving over them will not count. Players can also land on spaces that will give or take away points from that character.

  1. Each player will start on opposite ends of the board, with the finish spaces (one for each player) placed in two spaces at the center of the board.

  2. Each player will roll an 8-sided dice to determine which direction they will move in every roll.

1 = up

2 = up diagonally to the right

3 = right

4 = down diagonally to the right

5 = down

6 = down diagonally to the left

7 = left

8 = up diagonally to the left

  1. Each player will then roll 6-sided dice to determine how many spaces in that direction they will move on every roll.

  2. If player cannot move in the direction that the 8-sided dice says, then they will re-roll until they can.

  3. If the player rolls the 6-sided dice and there are not enough spaces for them to move in based on the number they get, the player simply moves to the edge of the game board in the direction they get. (EX. If player rolls a 6 and there are only 5 available spaces in that direction, they just move the 5 spaces to the edge of the board)

  4. If the players will both land on the same space as each other during a roll, each player will roll an 8-sided dice, and whoever has the higher number will take that space while the other player just moves to the space next to that player.

  5. If a player lands on a space the adds points, then they gain the number of points that the space says. If a player lands on a space the takes away points, then they lose the number of points that the space says. (EX: if a player lands on a space that gives 2 points, then that player adds 2 points to his total score, if a player lands on a space that takes away 1 point, then they subtract 1 point from their total score.)

  6. At any time during the game, one player may declare that they want to end the game. If the other player refuses, then the two players will roll their 8-sided dice. Whoever has the highest number on the roll will get their way. If the player wanting to end the game wins the roll, then the two players will calculate their total points (feel free to write on a sheet of paper and use a calculator to keep up with your total points), and whoever had the most points wins. If the player who refused wins, then they continue play. A player may again declare to end the game after another roll and the process will begin once more. If both players agree to end the game, total points are calculated and whoever has the most points wins the game.

  7. If a player lands on their respective finishing spaces, then that player will automatically win the match, regardless of the total points both players have. If a player lands on the finishing space of the other player, however, then they will lose the match, regardless of the total points both players have.
