Minute Maze Madness (MMM)

AKA London Underground

A game of quick thinking and quicker deception.

Setup:

The game will be played on a standard sized grid paper.  Each player gets a full piece of paper.

Phase 1:

The players are equipped with one marker and one token each. The players will flip a coin to see who is Player one. Player one places down their grid and indicates how far into the grid (from the top side down) the maze connector will be. The second player has two choices at this point. Either to choose how many spaces the connector will be between the mazes (2 spaces, 4 spaces, etc), OR where along the the two pieces of paper the connector shall connect the two mazes (in the corner, in the middle, etc). Once one of these actions is completed, the other action is completed by Player 1 as they so choose. Once this is completed, a solid divider shall be lowered between the players along the line that the connector sits on.

With these pieces given to them, the players will be given 5 minutes to construct a maze by drawing on their half of the combined grid paper of the paper and place the token at their own  starting points that they have created. The maze walls, entrance and exit(the connector between mazes) must fall on the line of the gridded paper.

Phase 2:
After the 5 minutes,  players change places and once both are reseated, the divider is lifted. The players place their thumb and forefinger upon the token at its starting point. They must move their piece to the end of the maze (i.e. back to the starting point they had created on their own side) before their opponent does to win the game. They can only moves their piece through the maze without break the walls

Whoever reaches the exit of their maze first, wins.

During Phase 1, trash talking and other verbal distraction is allowed and approved of. However NO physical distraction or tampering of the opponents efforts is allowed.

1.0 NOTES: Good replay-ability, needs a twist on this very standard design in order to attract players to actually WANT to play it again, against one another and enjoy it.

2.0 NOTES: Updated to a full grid per player and the connector rules for start of game. Need divider created in class in order to achieve game balance.
