The Canterbury Talez
There are at least four players: a minimum of three bards, and one judge. The judge comes up with three words: a noun, a verb, and an adjective. The judge then whispers these words to each bard in turn, who has a brief time (a few minutes, exact time at the discretion of the judge) to think of a story using the concepts represented by the words. (Note that the bards need not use the exact words themselves.) These tales must at least be coherent. The bard then tells his tale, for the enjoyment of the judge and his fellow bards. Once all bards have created and told their tales, the judge decides which tale was the best. The winner is the bard whose tale is judged the best.
